As a doctor...doctors always grades their patients according to their medical condition...especially anasthetist does the grading by examining the patient.This helps them to manage the risk during surgery...and also to take consent of relatives accordingly.
But now a days to grade the relatives of patient before or during the treatment is essential norm...this will help to handle the cases accordingly.

As we take detail history of patient, it’s now must to include patient’s & relatives social history also. One should follow this norm very decently & politely and by any suitable means he/she thinks…
Your aim should be to know his social background.
Then one can grade this family in to various different grades so as to consider right & suitable non medical approach to them.
For example.

| Educated class of people – more & more couscous… | Grade I | These people can become panicky at any time & may upset you emotionally. Better to refer them as early as possible or set your mind set to control their anxiety. |
| Frindly natured persons – friendly with you but not your friend….. | Grade II | These are nice people till everything is smooth. Once anything start wrong to happen these are the creators of great headache to you. Kindly inform the conditions of patient & likely complication to them in advance.. Be ready to answer all kinds of questions more & more frequently and by more & more so called friends. |
| Mob coming with patient…… | Grade III | .. When mob is along with patient it is not necessary that patient is in a critical stage. Try to attend the patient on zero time. Zero times delay may even resulted number of abuse words in front of your premises. In such cases you should be bold enough to take some steps as a) Ask some volunteer from mob to control the mob for good sake of patient. b) Make a conversation with limited number of relative with their choice to enter in your cabin. c) Use descent, confident, clear language. d) Help them for transfer of patient if required. e) Accompany the patient with life saving set.. If you are going to admit the patient, insist on the condition of presence of not more than two close relative with patient |
